Houston Teams
I have always supportedmy hometown Houston teams. I was at one of the greatest games in Astros history and have fond memories of their World Series run from 2005. I watched the Rockets struggle in the post-clutch city era, stayed loyal through several first-round playoff exits and finally got to see them take out Portland in the 2009 playoffs. I have been on the Texans bandwagon since they began in 2002. There have been lots of struggles, but I look forward to the day when they finally put it all together
Texas State
I came to Texas State in Fall 2008 and joined the newspaper as a sports writer in spring 2009. I have covered the Southland Conference champion Bobcat softball team of 2009 and the SLC champion Bobcat Volleyball eam of 2009.
Rivalries
I grew up in the Houston area, so I root against Dallas a lot. I am not a fan of the Cowboys at all. In basketball I dislike the Mavericks and Utah Jazz. In baseball I dislike the Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees and in football I dislike the Tennessee Titans (moved from Houston) and on a college level USC football.
